Matthew Boms
Executive Director
Matthew Boms serves as Executive Director of the Texas Advanced Energy Business Alliance (TAEBA), the statewide business association advancing advanced energy policy in Texas. He leads strategy and advocacy efforts to modernize the state’s energy market and expand private-sector investment in advanced energy solutions. He has served on the Texas Backup Power Package Advisory Committee and the Aggregated Distributed Energy Resource Task Force. Previously, he was Director of Strategic Programs and International Manager at The Climate Reality Project. He holds a Master’s in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Alissa Rivera
Communications Director
Alissa Rivera supports Texas Advanced Energy Business Alliance's advocacy projects and communications activities. Alissa has more than 10 years of experience working as a journalist and policy communications specialist. Prior to joining TAEBA, she worked as the Communications Director for an Illinois-based policy nonprofit focused on criminal legal system issues. In addition to working with other state legislative-focused organizations, she worked as a print, video, and digital reporter in Illinois and Florida.

Doug Pietrucha
Policy Principal
Doug Pietrucha supports TAEBA’s work on expanding wholesale markets, with a particular focus on TAEBA’s ERCOT engagement. Before coming to TAEBA, Doug worked at EQ Research conducting state level regulatory and legislative research, as well as summarizing utility rate cases. Doug has also worked with companies in the energy storage, community solar, and small hydro industries.

Jonathan Amthor
Policy Associate
Jonathan Amthor works in Advanced Energy United’s Texas state chapter, Texas Advanced Energy Business Alliance (TAEBA), helping track legislation and lobby state decision-makers. He also works as a member of the Central Regional Working Group. Prior to working at United, Jonathan was an Environmental Analyst at Expro, an energy services provider. He also worked as a Policy Intern for Enchanted Rock, which provides Electrical Resiliency-as-a-Service.
